Katamari Damacy: An Amazing Game

Rainbows, funny shaped heads, colorful worlds, rolling objects up into giant balls, all the while listening to catchy musical themes…cannot begin to describe the amazingness that is Katamari Damacy.

Behind the game’s fun story lies the King of All Cosmos, who got drunk one night and knocked all the stars out of the sky. The tiny Prince is now tasked with replacing the stars. In order to do so, he must collect things from Earth because, as the King of All Cosmos says, the Earth is so full of things. This is done by rolling around a magical ball known as a katamari, to which objects adhere. The size grows larger, and the player can pick up larger and larger objects as the ball grows. The King of All Cosmos himself is quite an amusing character, with his psychadelic clothing and his Royal Rainbow, which comes out of his mouth to transport the Prince.

Originally brought to the US in 2004, it has inspired sequals such as I Love Katamari, Me & My Katamari, Beautiful Katamari, We Love Katamari, and the latest Katamari Forever, scheduled to hit US stores September 22, 2009.

Katamari Damacy is a highly addictive game, filled with entertaining sights and sounds. Whether you want to spend hours rolling up katamaris, just pick up a fun game once in a while, play with friends, or find a happiness that can brighten even the most gloomy day, this is the game for you.
