Ico is perhaps one of the most under appreciated games I’ve ever played. This Playstation 2 classic is truly a gem. The gameplay is superbly fun, and the story is a cute tale of an outcast boy’s escape. Ico is born with horns on his head and then escapes his village, with young girl Yorda in tow.
This game is filled with action and adventure. It is somewhat of a puzzle game, requiring players to figure out escape routes through castle rooms in order to advance, and then jumping, pushing objects, climbing, and doing various tasks, all the time keeping Yorda safe and fighting off shadow creatures.
Released in 2001, Ico remains one of my favorite video games to this day. I recommend you all get your hands on a copy and indulge in this amazing work of art.
