Honest to God, I’d never heard of Nerdcore Hip-Hop before I stumbled across a documentary in my Netflix instant queue and knew instantly I NEEDED to watch it and I was right. Nerdcore Rising follows the nerdtastic first tour of MC Frontalot who it just so happens to be the founding father of the genre. Directed by Negin Farsad and Kim Gatewood the documentary offers an excellent balance of tunes, tour drama, and background. By the time the film wraps up it is practically impossible to keep from going directly to itunes or your chosen legal music source and downloading MC Frontalot (at least it was for me). Its a great way to waste an hour or two and an excellent intro to the music genre.
